Product information

Description

The Cosy Cub is a softly padded kids upholstered bed with clean lines and nothing fussy about it. The plump headboard sits at a fixed 40 inches, low enough to fit neatly under a window or shelf, and is covered in Plush Velvet Sky Blue for a smooth, velvety feel he will want to snuggle up against.

If you have been searching for a plush velvet bed that a young boy can grow into, this one ticks the boxes: a full UK single size, a fully upholstered divan base and optional side drawers for toys and spare bedding. Handmade to order in the UK with a 1 year guarantee.

Divan base and drawer options

The mattress sits on a solid, fully upholstered divan base rather than slats on legs. Drawers are optional and fit into the long sides of the base only, with no footend drawers. Choose 2 drawers on the left or right, or 4 drawers with 2 on each side, and leave space beside the bed so they can open fully.

  • Mattress: standard UK single, 90 x 190cm (3'0" x 6'3"), sold separately
  • Bed frame: approx. 90 to 100cm wide and 195 to 205cm long (3'0" to 3'3" by 6'5" to 6'9")

Questions people ask about this product

What size is this kids bed?
It is a standard UK single and takes a 90 x 190cm mattress, sold separately. The frame is roughly 90 to 100cm wide and 195 to 205cm long.
How high is the headboard?
The Cosy Cub headboard is fixed at 40 inches, which keeps the bed looking neat in smaller bedrooms and under windows.
Which storage options are available?
You can add 2 drawers on the left or right side of the divan base, or 4 drawers with 2 on each side. There are no footend drawers.
Is plush velvet practical for a young boy?
Yes. The dense pile is hard wearing, and most marks lift with a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth. Blot spills quickly rather than rubbing.
Is there a pink version?
Yes. The same design comes in Plush Velvet Pink as our Snuggle kids bed.
