Product information
Description
A small double is the sweet spot for a lot of bedrooms. It gives a growing child or teenager far more room than a single, yet at 126.7cm wide it still fits box rooms and spare rooms where a full double would be a squeeze. This grey small double bed frame is a simple, modern way to make that upgrade.
The grey finish is easy to clean and sits comfortably with white, wood and pastel furniture, so it suits a teenager's room just as well as a guest room that needs to look smart when visitors arrive. The clean, low profile design keeps the room feeling open.
Why choose a small double
- 4ft small double size: more sleeping space than a single without taking over the room
- A practical guest bed for spare rooms and home offices
- Grey finish that wipes clean easily
- Low 80cm overall height that sits neatly under windows

Questions people ask about this product
What size mattress fits this small double bed?
A standard UK small double mattress, 120 x 190cm (4ft x 6ft 3in). Mattresses are sold separately.
Is a small double big enough for a guest bed?
Yes. At 120cm wide it sleeps one adult comfortably and suits a couple for occasional stays, while taking up less floor than a 4ft 6in double.
How wide is the frame?
The frame is 126.7cm wide and 196cm long, so allow at least that much floor space plus room to walk around the bed.
Is this bed suitable for a teenager?
Yes. A small double gives a teenager more room to stretch out than a single, and the grey finish suits an older, more grown up bedroom.
Is there a white version?
Yes. This small double bed frame is also available in white, priced at £249.

Great experience from start to finish. We had a couple of questions before ordering and the team replied quickly and were really helpful. The bed arrived within the estimated delivery time and the finish is excellent. Comfortable, well made and looks far more expensive than it was. Highly recommend British Furniture Shop.

We ordered a king size bed from British Furniture Shop after comparing a few different companies, and we’re so glad we did. The whole process was easy, the delivery updates kept us informed, and the bed itself is excellent quality.
