Outdoor Rattan Sofas

An outdoor rattan sofa is the centrepiece of a garden seating area in a way that individual chairs never quite manage. It creates a proper living room feel outside, anchors the space visually, and gives you somewhere genuinely comfortable to sit for more than a few minutes.

Cushion quality is one of the most important factors to consider when comparing outdoor rattan sofas. The sofa frame itself is unlikely to be the weak point over time, but cheap or thin cushions will compress quickly and start to look tired within a season or two. Look for cushions with a high-density foam core and a cover fabric that is shower-resistant, UV-stable, and ideally removable for washing.

Storage and care are practical considerations that are easy to overlook at the buying stage. If you do not have a garden shed or outdoor storage box, choosing a rattan sofa with cushions that stack compactly will make it easier to bring them in over winter or during extended wet periods.
