Mink Beds

Mink is a warm, slightly dusty tone with just enough pink undertone to feel softer than a flat taupe, sitting somewhere between beige and blush. As a bed colour, it works particularly well in UK bedrooms where the light tends to be cooler, because the warmth in the fabric pulls the room toward comfort without introducing anything bold or overly saturated. It is an easy colour to live with, which is part of why mink beds have grown steadily in popularity alongside the broader shift toward warmer neutrals in bedroom design.

In velvet, mink is especially effective. The pile adds depth to the tone, so the colour shifts slightly depending on the angle of light and how the fabric catches it. In a plush or crushed velvet, a mink bed tends to look richer in the evening and softer in natural daylight.
